My (almost tool-free!) No Makeup Makeup Routine

Whenever I'm travelling, need to get ready quickly, or just feel lazy I tend to opt for a minimal, easy to apply with fingers routine. These five products always work well for me and make me feel ready for the day. This look is almost completely tool free but I can't go without curling my stubbornly, straight lashes. I find spending slightly more is definitely worthwhile and the Nars Eyelash Curlers are my favourite!

The foundation I use is the Bourjois Air Mat in shade 51. I dot a small amount all over my face and then blend out with fingers. I like to sheer it out for a minimal look but it can be built up slightly more for light to medium coverage. It sets to a non powdery, matte finish, which works well for my shine prone skin. Under my eyes and on any redness I use the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in the shade light. Again this works well blended out with fingers. It does a good job of minimising my dark circles and any areas where I like to add some more coverage. I really like the doe foot applicator and I think the packaging is very sleek, considering the price.

Even though this is a 'minimal' look, I still like to use a volumising mascara that gives me a dramatic lashes. The one I'm using at the moment is the L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. If you prefer mascaras that are drier in formula or once they've been open a few weeks, then you will enjoy this one! I feel it is already at the ideal dryness level straight from the first use, however, the downside of this is that the tube doesn't last long.

For brows I use the Tanya Burr Selfie Sculpt in medium. It's a twist up angled pencil with a useful spoolie on the other end. This shade matches my cool toned hair perfectly and allows me to create convincing and natural hair strokes easily. I like to add more definition from the arch onwards and just a very small amount through the front part of my brows.

Lastly, for lips and cheeks I like to dab on a little of MAC Chatterbox. It's a very pigmented, bright pink shade that I prefer to wear as a stain like tint. I really like the way using the same product for lips and cheeks creates a uniform, flattering look.
