My Most Used Palettes

I'm not very experimental when it comes to eye makeup. I use different palettes and shades day to day, but they all tend to be within the neutral family. I've built up quite a collection over the years - both budget and high end brands - but these are the three that I use most often and would recommend. It was tricky, but I picked my four favourite most used shades from each and this is how I like to use them..

First is the Nude Tude palette from The Balm. The four shades I've swatched are Sleek, Serious, Seductive, and Sultry. I like wearing Seductive all over my lids and along my lower lash line, with Sultry in the crease, and either Sleek or Serious pushed along my upper lash line for definition. I often use the dark mattes as liner even when I'm using a different palette because they're so pigmented and easy to blend out.

Next, a classic, the original Naked Palette from Urban Decay. This palette just makes me so happy whenever I use it and it's a staple for many with good reason! The four favourites I swatched above are Sidecar, Smog, Toasted, and Hustle. I like wearing the first three as all over colours, and I often use Hustle as liner or for definition. Urban Decay shadows are some of the softest and most to blend I've ever experienced, so although they're expensive, I do think they're worth the investment.

Lastly, my MAC Palette, which is very nearly completely full! Again, they're all neutrals, but this palette is one I built up over the years so it's more of a collection of singles than a cohesive palette. The four I use the most are All That Glitters, Satin Taupe, Soba, and Patina. I really like the way All That Glitters and Satin Taupe look worn together. Both Soba and Patina I tend to wear alone. I find MAC shadows to be slightly less pigmented than others, but this does mean I can apply them a bit more quickly and not have to worry so much about blending.
